Mite Shaker - Easy Check

Use this mite shaker to quickly and accurately assess varroa mite levels in your colony by performing an alcohol wash.

Add alcohol (like washer fluid or isopropyl alcohol) to one jar, collect a 1/2 cup of bees (aprrox. 300 bees) and put them in the alcohol, screw it back together, shake well, then invert jar to separate the mites from the bees. Count the number of mites to know if you need to treat!
