Use these traps to catch small hive beetles, or check to see if they are present in your colonies. Simply place between the top bars and fill with some vegetable oil and a little fruit juice or pollen substitute.
SHB will fall into the trap, but not be able to get out. The openings are too small for bees to get stuck in the trap.
