September is the crucial time of year for ensuring your bees are strong and healthy going into winter. This course will teach you how to successfully winter your honeybee colonies. Great for beekeepers of all skill levels!
This course is all about getting bees ready for winter. Topics include:
winter bees vs. summer bees, the differences, why they matter, what it means for your colony management
factoring in the fall honeyflow into your winter management plans
Setting up a hive for winter; wraps, entrances, bottom boards, and more
different methods for feeding bees; when and why
treatment options, when to apply, how to decide
This class takes place online zia Zoom. Invitation to the Zoom class will be sent to you by email a few hours before the class.
